About this piece
Rope incense burns cleaner than a stick because there is no bamboo core to give off that acrid under-note. You light the tip, let it catch, and rest it on a stone or in a small burner.
The recipe here is mostly Himalayan juniper with sal tree resin as a binder and a small amount of spikenard. It smells like the smoke offerings made outside monasteries at dawn, because it is essentially the same material.
