About this piece
Highland wool has a high lanolin content, which is why Tibetan rugs resist dirt and keep their spring for decades. This one is washed in the river and sun-dried in the traditional way, so the colours have already settled and will not run.
Knot count is 100 per square inch — the standard grade for a floor rug. Higher counts exist and are mostly for fine wall pieces.
