Thadobati is the tall, straight-walled classical form — flat base, near-vertical sides, wide flat lip. Deeper and rounder than a modern bowl, with a fundamental near C and a very slow decay.
Only 1 of this piece exists. Handmade — we cannot reorder it.

About this piece
This is a new bowl finished to look old, and we would rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise. It is hand-raised in the traditional way and then given an aged patina with a mineral wash; it is not an antique and is not sold as one.
The thadobati profile puts more metal in the wall than a modern bowl, which is why it sounds lower and lasts longer. It is the shape most players end up preferring once they have tried a few.

Care & keeping
Wipe with a dry cloth. A darkening patina is normal on hand-raised bronze and many owners prefer it; if you want it bright, use a little tamarind paste or a proprietary brass polish and buff dry. Never put it in a dishwasher.
